This headline is alarmist. I have been tracking figures daily since January on Worldometer which is more up-to-rhe-minute than WHO figures.  Average world daily cases increase: April 260%. May 17%. June 49%. July 61%. August 12%. September MTD 8%. This is NOT a "surge". It is a peaking and easing. (And bear in mind vastly increased testing around the world). Yet media have "surging" headlines.
Mesntime daily deaths are easing (5,408 worldwide, to today).
In short, daily worldwide deaths are declining, while cases rise, but at a declining rate. This ought to be good news. But the media ("Agencies") spin it as "surge", worthy of yet more panic...
